Global Gathering!

Last weekend I went to Global Gathering, a dance music festival in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was amazing, the weather was perfect all weekend and we got to see the likes of Chase & Status, Teed, Annie Mac, DJ Fresh & Shy FX. Definitely worth going as its one of the cheaper festivals around and such a nicer, more relaxed atmosphere compared to festivals like Reading & Leeds.

Beautiful scenes from Croatia

The Plitvice Lake National Park is Croatia's most popular tourist attraction. The park is made up of 16 lakes connected by waterfalls and is a beautiful place to visit. The park is open all year round and cost between £9- £13 depending on what time of year you visit. This place is stunning in the clear summer and just as beautiful in the snow at winter. Great for walking but you're not allowed to swim!

Party in Brasil!

This is the Roxy Club in Savassi, Brasil. Stunningly designed by architect Fred Mafra, it boasts 2 dancefloors, 3 bars, and 4 VIP lounges. Designs are based on hexagonal and triangular shapes with honeycombed ceilings and distracting black and white, LED floors designed to help guests forget the outside world. Predominantly a techno club, but the smaller adjoining club called the Josephine Club plays a combination of tribal and pop music!

Living in a double volcano

Aogashima ("Blue Island") is a small tropical volcanic island in the Philippine sea and is owned by Japan. There is a population of just over 200 people with 1 school for all kids and the only way to access the island is by boat using Port Sabo (the only port on the island). It is a beautiful island and many people visit mainly to see the double volcano.

Sonar! Barcelona

Had an amazing time in Barcelona this year for the Sonar music festival, besides the actual festival i visited the old Olympic stadium and village there, a great place to see and hardly anyone about. I stayed in a hostel in Las Ramblas for 20 euros a night which was near this really cool square of restaurants and bars called Place Reial. Sadly I didn't have much time to visit and Gaudi buildings!

The old salt mines in Wieliczka, Poland are an amazing attraction to see in Poland if you ever visit the country. It produced table salt from the 13th century through to 2007. The mine's attractions include dozens of statues and an entire chapel that has been carved out of the rock salt by the miners. The oldest sculptures are augmented by the new carvings by actual artists. About 1.2 million people visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine annually.

The Chameleon Club, Dubai

With amazing neon interiors and a giant lit up chameleon statue, this club is a popular edition to the up-and-coming city of Dubai. The Clubs resident DJ Roland plays mainly tech house & deep house. It's pretty pricey though!

Eat Beneath a Waterfall

Villa Escudero is a resort and coconut plantation located in Quezon Province, Philippines. The most unusual thing about this resort is it's main attraction the Waterfalls Restaurant where you can eat at the foot of a waterfall on tables which are in the actual water. This is such an unusual experience and one you should definitely visit if you ever travel to the Philippines.

Hue: Part 2

We had a great time in Hue, we explore so much. there are lots of beautiful Temples, Tombs & Pagodas to visit and well worth it. One night 6 of us went to a Royal Banquet where 2 of us dressed up as King & Queen and the other 4 were concubines! All of us were dressed in traditional Vietnamese clothing and we sat eating whilst a band played classic Vietnamese music to us. It was great but very strange sitting there being watched by these musicians. Another good night out in Hue was this bar called........ VERY cheap I think it was 50p for cocktails and as usual with Vietnam it was Happy hour all night.
